The main activities of APPEC are distributed over a limited number of ‘functional centres’ hosted in different participating institutions, each functional centre having its own leader and dedicated staff. APPEC is currently organised in six functional centres:
- AstroParticule et Cosmologie (APC), France
- Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY), Germany
- INFN Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (LNGS) / European Gravitational Observatory (EGO), Italy
- Nikhef: Dutch National Institute for Subatomic Physics / The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), Netherlands
- Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), Germany
- Laboratorio Subterráneo de Canfranc (LSC), Spain
