The 20th JINR-ISU Baikal Summer School on Physics of Elementary Particles and Astrophysics, will take place from July 14 to 21, 2020, in the picturesque village Bol’shie Koty (Big Cats) on the shore of Lake Baikal. Master and PhD students as well as early-career postdocs are invited to attend the School. The School offers:
a week of lectures given by invited experts in experimental and theoretical HEP and astroparticle physics,

The ISAPP School on gravitational waves will take place from May 19th to May 30th at the Villa Finaly, Florence.
The science of gravitational waves is becoming an essential part of the scientific education of PhD students in the field of astroparticle physics. This school offers a general overview of the different aspects of this science: a theoretical introduction on gravitational waves and their astrophysical sources, a course on detectors, and finally an overview of data analysis techniques and the scientific implications of the first detections. Future perspectives, covering the instruments and associated science, will also be discussed.
The school will take place in Villa Finaly, an historical place belonging to the Paris Universities. This quiet location, offers the possibility of in-depth discussions among students and between students and teachers, who are encouraged to stay as much as possible.
Lectures will take place in the morning and early afternoon. Then Q/A sessions or time for projects development are allocated in the afternoon. Projects (for example, analysis of LIGO and Virgo data) will be developed in groups, with a kick-off at the beginning of the school and a final presentation at the end of the school.
In the evening, informal meetings are planned on broader themes, such as the challenges of open data, the management of a large science project, and how to perform high quality science outreach.

The ISAPP school on “Gamma rays to shed light on dark matter” will happen in Madrid between 21-30 June, 2020.
The purpose of the School is to offer a general overview of the state-of-the-art of gamma-ray dark matter searches and it is primarily aimed at students at the MSc and PhD level, as well as young postdocs working in the field.
Being an ISAPP school, it will closely follow the same format and spirit of previous ISAPP schools across the world.
The program will include introductory lectures on Astrophysics, Cosmology and Particle physics, as well as a series of more specific lectures on each of the main topics. It will also provide the students with some of the most useful computational tools in the field, by running a few hands-on sessions on specific yet quite standard dark matter work packages.

The ISAPP summer school on “Neutrino Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology” will be held at the Casa de la Ciencia in the historic centre of Valencia (Spain) from 2-10 July 2020. The school’s goal is to cover the main theoretical and experimental aspects of neutrino physics. The school is primarily aimed at PhD students and other young researchers working in this field, either experimentalists, theorists or phenomenologists who wish to have an up-to-date overview of neutrino physics and its connection to Astrophysics and Cosmology.
Following the standard ISAPP school format, the scientific program will consist of main lectures (1.5 hours including discussion) including introductory pre-courses on Particle Physics and Cosmology. Some sessions will be devoted to discussions to stimulate the interaction among students and lecturers. There will be also poster presentations for which participants are encouraged to contribute with results on their current research topics.
The VIth CNRS thematic School of Astroparticle Physics on “PHYSICS and ASTROPHYSICS of COSMIC RAYS” will be held from November 25th – 30th 2019 at the OHP Saint Michel l’Observatoire in France. This school follows several other schools supported / organized by the Programme National Hautes Energies (PNHE), the latter focusing on the physics of the Universe X-ray (2016), gravitational waves (2013) and gamma astronomy (2011). This one will present an observational and theoretical overview of the physics and astrophysics of cosmic rays, with hands-on training sessions on Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) data analysis as well as on CR propagation codes. Particular attention will be given to taking into account statistical and systematic errors in both measures and theoretical models. It will enable current and future actors in the field to understand the various transverse aspects, such as the very great importance of multi-messenger and multi-wavelength observations for understanding the key physical mechanisms in acceleration and transport. Opening up to a broader scientific community, this school aims at bringing together specialists on these topics with the aim of training the next generation of young researchers, in addition to transfer/share skills.
This first edition focuses on Multi-Messenger Astrophysics. These past two years were marked by huge advancements in this field, with countless invaluable results such as the detection of first gravitational waves, also in correspondence with photons, as well as the simultaneous observation of photons with a 300 TeV neutrino from an active galaxy. The foundation of high energy astroparticle physics are shaken and new theoretical buildings are raised. This calls for additional focused experimental efforts, with careful planning of multi-wavelenght and multi-experiments coordinated observation, specially when pointing telescopes with limited field of view are involved.
This school aims to recall the cosmology and particle physics background needed to seriously frame the discussion about multi-messenger signatures. The school will be organized with key lectures, plus a series of topical lectures and seminars. Exercises will be organized throughout the school on all topics. Hands-on will be organized on a selection of codes. The school will be closed with a final exam for self-evaluation.
The school will be international and it will be held in the beautiful curtains of the Asiago plateau, where the DFA astronomical observatory is located. The observatory is currently hosting two 1m-class telescopes hosting several instruments.
Participants will be limited to 36 and selected on the basis of their CV and a reference letter.

The International school of Cosmic Ray Astrophysics (ISCRA) holds biennial courses for graduate students and young researchers that stress the inter-relationships between sub-disciplines in Astrophysics, Particle Physics and Cosmology and focus upon recent results from different specialty areas. The 22nd Course: From cosmic particles to gravity waves: now and to come will take place from 28 August 2020 to 5 September 2020 in Erice, Sicily, Italy.
The ISCRA is not a conference or a workshop, but is a School that provides lectures by outstanding scientists who cover the latest results and also the background and steps that lead to them. Everyone is encouraged to question the experts both during the lectures and informally over relaxing meals so that one often finds beginners dining with experts in an ambiance of friendship and science that otherwise might never happen. Discussions naturally happen — sometimes a seemingly simple question may pause the expert and in the by and by lead to new research. Additionally many attendees have developed their careers following contacts made at the School.

From 2nd to 10th October 2019 ECAP organises the 16th edition of the international School for Astroparticle Physics for PhD students in Obertrubach Bärnfels, close to Erlangen, Germany. The school will be held in english and is open for international participation.
The program covers topics from astrophysics to particle physics and cosmology. Lectures are given by key scientists in the field, as for example, Karl-Heinz Kampert (cosmic rays), Imre Bartos (astrophysics with gravitational wave observations), Jacco Vink (particle acceleration and magnetic fields in cosmic shocks) and Bela Mojorovits (light dark matter). The school combines education, discussion and contributions by the participants. The participation fee of 280 Euro covers accommodation and meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee breaks).
We are happy to announce the SENSE Detector School at the Ringberg Castle in Kreuth am Tegernsee in Bavaria, Germany, from 19 – 22 June 2019. The 2.5 days mini-school for PhD and master students aims to inform about the forefront developments on low light-level detectors.
The speciality of the school is the small group of students with a continuous possibility to discuss with the teachers.

The International School on Gravity from Earth to Space, 21-23 May, aims to bring together PhD students, Post Docs and young researchers from LISA and Earth interferometer communities who during three intense days will have the opportunity to follow a series of lectures on gravity, gravitational waves with a focus on detectors, data analysis techniques and astrophysical source science including electromagnetic and astroparticle observations.
